Biden administration appoints Indian Americans to key positions in Energy Department

In the US, the Biden administration has appointed four Indian Americans to key positions in the Department of Energy. The administration has appointed Tarak Shah to the post of Chief of Staff. Shah has become the first American of Indian origin to reach this position. Tanya Das has been made the Chief of Staff of the Department of Science-related ‘Office of Science’, Narayan Subramaniam has been appointed as the Legal Adviser in the Office of General Counsel’ and the Department of Shuchi Fatal Fossil Energy ‘Office of Fossil Energy has been appointed as Chief of Staff.

After announcing the appointment of 19 officials at senior level in the Department of Energy, Shah said, “These talented and skilled public servants will meet President Joe Biden’s goal of tackling the climate change crisis and building a better clean energy in the future.”

‘ Shah said, “These new people, who have been appointed to the Department of Energy by following their guidance, vast experience, and scientific methods, will contribute to the creation of an economy based on clean energy, which will generate employment for millions of Americans and a future for future generations.” Will contribute to the creation of better and safer earth. ‘

In addition, David G. Huizenga will serve as acting secretary in the Department of Energy. Recently he was the post of Assistant Principal Deputy Administrator in the National Nuclear Security Administration and he was associated with the department since 1987. Tarak Shah is an energy policy expert and has worked on tackling climate change over the past decade.

In Biden administration, Tanya Das was a professional member of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology in the US House of Representatives recently. During this time he worked on many issues related to clean energy and construction policy. 

Narayan Subramaniam was a guest research specialist at the Center for Law, Energy, and Environment at Berkeley Law. At the same time, Shuchi Talati was Senior Policy Advisor at Carbon 180 He focused on policies related to building sustainable and appropriate technology for carbon removal.
