Govt. announces festival gift for Central govt. employees before the festival, LTA extended for two years

According to the central govt., Central Government Employees can also book economy class tickets in private air lines under Leave Travel Allowance (LTA). The Ministry of Personnel (DoPT) said that non-eligible government employees can also travel by air. However, the central employees are getting dearness allowance (DA) at the old rate.

Due to the Corona crisis, the country’s economy has become disastrous. Meanwhile, the Narendra Modi government of the Center has given a huge gift to the central employees in the festive season. Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that the government has given the facility of Leave Travel Allowance (LTA) for the Central Government Employees to visit Northeast, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Jammu and Kashmir for two years has increased.


LTA facilities extended to 25 September 2022

Jitendra Singh said that employees will be given travel allowance for LTC (LTC) to come along with the paid holiday. Apart from this, private airline companies can also travel to these states. Central employees can book economy class tickets for air travel. The Minister of State for Personnel said that Non-Eligible Government Employees can also travel by air. All these facilities have been extended until 25 September 2022.

Central employees can now plan for the Northeast, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate the holidays. Actually, LTA is provided by the government to central employees. Under this, employees and officers can claim travel allowance if they go anywhere. In this, employees or officers can go with their family or go alone. Many expenses incurred during the journey are paid under LTA. However, due to the Corona crisis, the dearness allowance of central employees has not been increased this time.

Central employees are getting dearness allowance at the same rate The dearness allowance (DA), which is increased twice a year for central employees, is being given at the old rate due to the corona crisis. Dearness allowance was increased by 4 percent in January 2020. After this, the dearness allowance for central employees was increased to 21 percent.

After this, due to the worsening of the economic situation due to Corona virus, it has not been increased. At present, till 30 June 2021, dearness allowance is being given at the rate of 17 percent only. Let us know that every year in January and July, the central government makes an announcement to increase dearness allowance.
