Kane Williamson replaces David Warner as Sunrisers Hyderabad New Team Captain: IPL 2021

Kane Williamson will replace David Warner as a new Sunrisers Hyderabad team captain for the remaining matches of IPL 2021. The team has decided to remove David Warner from the captaincy. The Hyderabad team’s performance has been nothing special this season and the team has lost five out of six matches. The Hyderabad team has given this information on its Twitter handle. Kane Williamson has also captained Hyderabad in the absence of Warner.

Hyderabad has lost 5 out of the 6 matches played so far this season and the team is currently at the bottom of the points table. In the last match, the team had to face a crushing defeat by Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets. Hyderabad batsmen could not perform as expected this season and that is why the team has lost some very close matches. Williamson did not play in the opening matches due to injury, but he was part of the playing XI in the last two matches and he played a brilliant knock of 66 against Delhi, batting brilliantly.

David Warner’s recent form has been nothing special this season and he has scored 193 runs in 6 matches, but his strike rate is just 110.28. The same situation has also happened for Manish Pandey and he too has failed to score runs fast. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is not fully fit in bowling, while T Natarajan has already been ruled out of the entire season due to a knee injury. Hyderabad won the IPL title in 2016.
