LTC Cash Voucher Scheme: The central government announced the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme on October 12, 2020, according to which the employees of the central government can also avail of this scheme by 31 March 2021 by purchasing services or goods with 12% and above GST.

The government has introduced the LTC or LTA Cash Voucher Scheme, in which the employees have been allowed to claim an exemption on certain types of purchases in lieu of LTC / LTA. This has been done because the employee is unable to travel due to the Corona epidemic.

The Central Government (Central Govt) announced the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme on 12 October 2020, according to which the employees of the Central Government as of 31 March 2021 had purchased this service or goods with 12% and above GST (GST) for this scheme.   • This scheme is not applicable to those employees, who have opted for a new tax system in which tax rates are low, but you give most of the deductions and rebates. In addition, the taxpayer should not abolish the LTC exemption for the block already (the current block is 2018-21).
  • Every taxpayer can claim travel (LTA) exemption for the journey for four years. This scheme was initially started for government employees, but later also for private-sector employees.
  • To get benefits under this scheme, it is necessary to submit a bill for the purchase of employees between October 12 and March 31.
  • The amount required to spend is equal to three times the DTC fare. A bill of goods and services with a GST of up to 12 percent or more can be claimed under the scheme.
  • Payment for goods/services will inevitably need to be made through a digital mother.
  • The invoice is submitted for reimbursement under the scheme should be brought in the name of the employee who is availing of the scheme. Payments made by family members will not be included in it.
  • If the amount to be reimbursed is less than the advance used, it will be considered underutilization. However, after the claim calculation, the balance amount, if any, can be recovered from the employee.

Therefore, if you fulfill the appropriate conditions, then only you will be able to claim benefits under the scheme.
