Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), an FMCG sector company, has called more than 5,000 oxygen concentrators from abroad to address the shortage of oxygen in Delhi and Bangalore. Patients and their carers in New Delhi and Bangalore can request for oxygen concentrator by giving a missed call on 08068065385.

HUL has launched Mission HOTPE in New Delhi and Bengaluru. Under the mission, HOTPE has joined hands with the KVN Foundation and the country’s largest home healthcare company Portia. With this partnership, oxygen concentrators will be provided free of cost to the needy patients in both cities in an effective manner. In this, the use of oxygen concentrator, return, then use model will be adopted.

Mission HOTPE will be implemented in other cities

The company said that Mission HOTPE is also being implemented in other cities like Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, which are badly affected. HUL will also donate concentrators to hospitals in about 20 locations across the country. Apart from this nexus, the company will also bear the cost of vaccination of around 300,000 people indirectly involved in its suppliers, distributors, and rural areas, including Shakti Amma. HUL has also built isolation centers around its more than 30 manufacturing units, most of which are in rural areas of the country. Apart from the oxygen concentrator, HUL will also provide ventilators and other medical equipment to hospitals including rural areas.
