Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is also earning up to four lakh rupees every month from YouTube. Nitin Gadkari on Friday said that he gets Rs 4 lakh every month as royalty for videos of his lectures put on YouTube.
During the pandemic, the number of people watching his videos posted on YouTube has increased significantly. Reviewing the progress made in the work of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (DME) in Bharuch, Gadkari said that his ministry has started giving ratings to road construction contractors and consultants.

The Road Transport and Highways Minister said that he did two things during the Kovid-pandemic. He said that I became a cook at home and started giving lectures through video conferences. I gave more than 950 lectures online. This includes lectures given to students of foreign universities. They were uploaded to YouTube. He said, the number of my viewers on the YouTube channel has increased a lot and YouTube is now giving me four lakh rupees as royalty every month. Known for his outspoken opinion, Gadkari said that people who do good work in India are not appreciated.

The Minister also stressed the importance of a modern and high-quality road network for economic growth and generating employment opportunities. He said that 423 km of road is being constructed in Gujarat at a cost of Rs 35,100 crore. Gadkari said that 60 major bridges, 17 interchanges, 17 flyovers, and eight Road Over Bridges (ROBs) will be built in the state under this expressway. The Minister said that apart from providing world-class transport facilities on this expressway, it is also proposed to set up 33 centers connected with roadside facilities, etc. to generate employment opportunities in the state.
