Rain turned disaster: Schools closed in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad today, WFH advisory in Gurugram

New Delhi. All schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Gurugram and Noida will remain closed on Monday in view of heavy rains in the region. The officers provided this information. Along with this, in view of the incessant rains, private institutions and corporate offices in Gurugram have been asked to ask their employees to work from home.

Due to rain in Ghaziabad, schools will remain closed for two days and then till July 17 due to Kanwar Yatra. The administration had earlier announced the closure of the school till Sunday due to the Kanwar Yatra. City Magistrate Shubhangi Shukla said that all schools and colleges in the district have been closed on Monday and Tuesday due to heavy rains. After that, in view of the Kanwar Yatra, they will be kept closed till July 15. He told that after the Sunday holiday on July 16, schools and colleges will be reopened from July 17.

All schools in Delhi closed today
Torrential rains lashed most parts of north and northwest India, including the National Capital Region, since Saturday, causing water logging, flash floods, house collapses, and rain-related incidents. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that a notice has been sent to the heads of schools in the national capital, stating that all government and private schools will remain closed for students on Monday. However, teachers have been instructed to come to school.

In view of the ‘Orange Alert’, the department issued a notice
A circular from the Directorate of Education (DOE) said, ‘In view of the heavy rains since Friday and the ‘Orange Alert’ issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), It has been directed that all government and private schools will remain closed for students on 10th July. Students should be informed about the holiday in advance so that they do not leave.

Schools will remain closed in Noida and Greater Noida
as well Schools will remain closed in Noida and Greater Noida on Monday. Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma tweeted, “Keeping in view the heavy rains in the district, classes from classes 1 to 12 will remain closed in all schools of the district on July 10.”
