SBI ATM, OTP is necessary for cash withdrawal above Rs 10000 from tomorrow

If you use the debit or ATM card of SBI, then there is important news for you. Now, withdrawing Rs 10000 or more from its ATM will require OTP even during the day. Till now, OTP was required only on withdrawal of this amount from 8 am to 8 am. This system is being implemented across the country from 18 September. The bank has asked all its customers to get the mobile number updated.

Explain that in view of strengthening the ATM security system and security of customers, State Bank of India started OTP-based cash withdrawal from January 1, 2020, to withdraw Rs 10,000 through SBI ATM from 8 am to 8 am. Had. Now the bank has expanded it and extended it till September 18, 2020. Customers can use OTP for just one transaction. When the customer will use the ATM to withdraw the amount, the ATM screen will ask for OTP, that OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number of the customer. OTP based cash withdrawal facility is available only at SBI ATM.

From tomorrow, now SBI customers across the country will be sent OTP to their registered mobile number for withdrawal of 10,000 and more, which they will enter every time with their debit card PIN. Implementing this facility throughout the day will help SBI debit cardholders to avoid fraudsters, unauthorized withdrawals, card skimming, card cloning.
