The country’s largest government bank SBI (SBI-State Bank of India) has come to a new rule to withdraw cash from ATMs. According to the new rule, now you will need OTP to withdraw cash of more than 10 thousand. That is, you will not be able to withdraw money without OTP. Let us tell you that State Bank had already implemented this rule. It has been implemented for 24 hours from 18 September. Earlier, SBI changed the rules for sending money abroad from October 1 (SBI Banking Rules). Now customers have to pay tax for transactions abroad. That is, customers have to pay an extra charge for sending money abroad.

SBI tweeted – SBI has given information about this new rule by tweeting  . According to the SBI tweet, from now on, it has decided to implement the One Time Password (OTP) based ATM cash withdrawal facility 24 hours.

Earlier this rule was only for 12 hours,
according to this rule, the OTP process applies between 8 am and 8 am in the morning. On entering the amount in this, the OTP screen opens and there you have to enter the OTP sent to your mobile number. Transactions will be possible only after this process is completed.

Why did the bank implement the new rule?
Cases of online fraud among Corona virus spread across the country have also increased. Keeping this in mind, SBI has implemented this rule. According to SBI, to protect customers from ATM fraud, 24-hour OTP based service has been launched across the country. The new rule has come into effect from 18 September.
