SBI Customers: Do this Work by September 30 Otherwise, Your Account May be Closed

SBI Customers: State Bank of India has issued a notice to its customers. The bank has asked the account holders to link the PAN-Aadhaar card as soon as possible by 30 September. The bank has said that if you do not do this work within the stipulated time frame, then your banking service may be interrupted. State Bank of India has said this on its official website.

Also, the State Bank of India has said that if Aadhaar and PAN are not linked together, then the PAN number will become inactive. For this reason, the bank has asked customers to link Aadhaar and PAN for the smooth operation of their accounts. It has been said in the notice that it is mandatory for everyone to link a PAN card with an Aadhar card. The last date for this has been kept 30 September.

SBI Bank Account Will Be Suspended

If You Don’t Get Your KYC By 30th September What Will Happen To You. SBI said that if your bank account is suspended without KYC, then the money deposited in your account will be frozen. You will not be able to withdraw that money. Also, you will not get the benefit of any government scheme and will not get any subsidy.

SBI said that if your PAN and Aadhaar card is linked with your bank account, then you need to send Aadhaar and PAN to the bank again is not. The government had set the deadline for linking PAN and Aadhaar for the first time in July 2017. However, since then the government has extended its deadline several times.

Let us tell you that it is mandatory to have PAN in any kind of financial transaction. If you want to open a bank account, open a Demat account, buy a property or do any work related to money, then you must have a PAN.

SBI Customers: Process of Linking PAN and Aadhar

1- You have two ways to link PAN and Aadhar cards. The first can be done by SMS and the second by visiting the Income Tax website.
2- If you want to link PAN and Aadhaar through SMS, then you have to SMS UIDPAN<space>12 digits Aadhaar number<space>10 digit PAN number to 567678 or 56161.
