Mumbai: The country’s largest lending provider, State Bank of India (SBI) has given big gifts to its savings account holders on the occasion of Independence Day. SBI announced on the occasion of 74th Independence Day of the country. Such account holders have been relieved of many types of charges.
Through their official twitter handle, State Bank of India has shared this information on August 15th, 2020. According to this, these customers have now got rid of SMS alerts and minimum balance charges.
They will not have to pay any fee for these services. The bank has now abolished the charge levied for backing service messages on the mobile number registered with the customer’s account. Now the customer will not have to pay any fixed charge for this.
The bank used to charge 12 plus GST for every quarter to convey the transaction information to customers through SMS, which will no longer be charged. An important step of the bank is to eliminate the minimum balance charge amid the Corona crisis. This decision of State Bank of India will benefit crores of customers.
Apart from this, customers have now also got rid of the worry of minimum balance in the account. No charge will be charged even if there is no minimum balance in the savings account.
According to SBI’s tweet, banking services can be fully availed from the bank’s app SBI YONO. Through this one app, customers can get rid of the hassle of many apps.
