The Government of India says that many countries are not accepting the International Driving Permit issued to Indian citizens. The government took these steps on this.

The Government of India has come to know through various public grievances that many countries are not accepting the International Driving Permit issued to Indian citizens. This information has been given by ANI on Twitter. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has advised states and union territories to stamp the first page of the International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by them.

Let me tell you that if you want to go for a foreign tour and have to drive there, then you need an International Driving License. But there are some countries where you do not need an International Driving License for driving.

Let us tell you which are the countries where the license of India runs and what are the conditions:

1. UK (UK)
Indian domestic driving license is valid for 1 year. Here you can drive on the roads of Scotland, Wales and England. But you cannot drive every type of vehicle. There are some restrictions for this.

2. Australia
In Australia, Indians go on a large scale to study, job or roam. Indian DL can be used here for three months in New South Wales, Queensland. But your driving license should be in English. There should also be a permit for driving.

3. New
Zealand New Zealand is also an Indian driving license valid but must be in English. If it is not in English, it should be translated into a valid language of New Zealand. Also, in New Zealand only a person of 21 years and above can drive.

4.  France In
France, driving can be done from the Indian DL but it is necessary to be in the language there. It stays valid there for 1 year.

5.  Norway
can be driving from Indian DL for 3 months in Norway.
