LIC Relaxes Terms Related to Settlement of Claim due to Corona

LIC has decided to relax the settlement conditions to make the process related to claim settlement easier. India is currently facing the second wave of Covid-19 and thousands of people are dying. At the same time, keeping in mind the safety of its customers amid the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, announced some relaxation in the terms related to the LIC settlement of claims.

In a statement on Friday, the company said that in the present situation where death has occurred in a hospital, in order to expeditiously settle the death claim, it has recognized alternative evidence of death in lieu of the death certificate received from the Municipal Corporation.

Optional Certificate Recognition

Second proofs of death were issued by the Government / ESI (Employees State Insurance) / Armed Forces / Corporate Hospitals and signed by first class officers of LIC or Development Officers serving 10 years, showing the clear date and time of death in the hospital. The statement said that it would have to be submitted along with the funeral certificate or the authentic identity receipt issued by the concerned authority. In other cases, it will be necessary to give the death certificate from the Municipal Corporation as before.

Uncontrolled Corona! Recorded 4.14 lakh cases in 24 hours

Significantly, for the second consecutive day in the country, the number of corona infected patients has crossed the figure of 4 lakhs, while so far three times in the country there have been more than 4 lakhs of corona infected patients. If you look at the figures of the last 24 hours, there have been 4 lakh 14 thousand 182 cases of corona in the country, while 3,920 people have lost their lives during this period. The Union Health Ministry said that after the new cases came out, the total cases of Kovid-19 has increased to 2,14,91,592.
