What is the PM Vishwakarma Yojana? How much loan can I get, and how do I apply?
PM Vishwakarma Yojana: On his 73rd birthday, Prime Minister Modi gave a big gift to the nation. He launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. This scheme will help traditional skilled individuals establish their businesses. Under this plan, people will not only get a loan but also receive skill training. Traditional skilled workers like blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, weavers, and cobblers will benefit from this scheme. It includes 18 traditional occupations. Let’s dive into the details of this scheme.
Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, you can avail of a loan to start your own business, provided you possess traditional skills. You can get a loan of up to 3 lakh rupees. In the first phase, a loan of 1 lakh rupees is provided to start the business, and in the second phase, a loan of up to 2 lakh rupees is available for business expansion. This loan comes with an interest rate of only 5%.
This scheme includes 18 traditional occupations. People will receive training through master trainers in these 18 trades. You will also receive a daily stipend of 500 rupees. Additionally, the PM Vishwakarma certification, ID card, skill development related to basic and advanced training, a 15,000 rupee toolkit incentive, and digital payment encouragement will be provided.
