PF Account: If Your Account is in Merged Banks, Then There will be Problem in Withdrawing PF money

PF Account ​​Latest Update: If you are thinking of withdrawing your PF money, then first you have to update your bank details in your PF account. Otherwise, you will not be able to withdraw money from your PF account. If your account was in those banks, which have been merged recently, then do this work today.

IFSC codes of merged banks became invalid 

Actually, after the merger of some public sector banks, their IFSC codes have become invalid on April 1, 2021, due to which their claims are not being passed. Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has asked PF account holders to first update their bank account details by going to the Provident Fund account. The government has just announced a non-refundable PF advance a few days ago so that people suffering from the corona epidemic can meet their financial requirements. The application for this can be done both online and offline. But if your bank account details are not updated in the PF account, then you will find it difficult to get the claim. 

Update IFSC Code of these banks 

According to the alert issued by EPFO, Andhra Bank, Syndicate Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Allahabad Bank, United Bank of India (United Bank of India) The IFSC Code of Corporation Bank has become invalid. No online claim can be filed unless the member has added the correct IFSC through the employer. A ‘
Please get the IFSC your bank details uploaded and approved. This will ensure that the claim amount of the members is not refunded by the banks. 

How to update bank account

If your account was with these banks which have been merged, then you will have to get new IFSC codes from your respective banks. After this, you have to go to the official portal of EPFO. So let’s see how you can update bank details in the PF account.

First of all, go to EPFO’s Unified Member Portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

Log in here by entering your UAN and password.

Now click on the ‘Manage’ tab. A drop-down menu will appear in front of you.

In this menu select KYC.

Now select the bank and fill in the bank account number, name, and new IFSC code and save this information will be approved by your company first. 

Then your updated bank details will be visible in the approved KYC section.
