Do you know that for the last 5 months, the subsidy on domestic LPG cylinders (Gas Subsidy) has either stopped or the name is coming only? The government has abolished the gas subsidy you get since May. But why the decision has been taken to end this subsidy. Let’s know the whole matter.
Why subsidy money is not coming to account?
In fact, domestic gas prices have come down so much that even in May, June, July, August, and now September this year, customers did not get a subsidy. However, in the accounts of some consumers, a nominal subsidy of Rs 27 has been received last month. Due to continuous reduction in subsidy by the government, since May this year, the price of subsidized and non-subsidized LPG cylinder has become one.

The government gives the difference between subsidy as subsidy and the price of non-subsidized LPG cylinder. When the cost of both is almost the same then the subsidy is also reduced to zero. That is, if the price of the cylinder without subsidy increases, then subsidy will also start getting.
The subsidy on LPG cylinders has been continuously cut for the last one year. That is why the subsidized cylinder has become expensive by Rs 100. With this, the subsidy received on it has been reduced to zero.
In July last year, the market price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in the country’s capital Delhi was Rs 637, which has now come down to Rs 594. If you want more cylinders than this, then you have to buy at the market price.
