India beat England: In the first match of the three-match ODI series, Team India won, 1-0 in the series. Shikhar Dhawan scored 98 runs, KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya hit half-centuries.

After winning the Test and T20 series, Team India has now started with a win in the ODI series against India (England vs England). India won easy in the first ODI played on Tuesday. Batting first, India scored 317 runs in 50 overs. In response, the England team could not achieve the target despite a fast start and were reduced to 251 runs. In this way Team India won the match by a big margin of 66 runs.

Both batsmen and bowlers contributed to India’s victory. Shikhar Dhawan played an innings of 98 runs. KL Rahul scored 62 and Krunal Pandya scored 58 runs. Virat Kohli also played an innings of 56 runs. Prasidh Krishna, playing his debut match in bowling, took 4 wickets. Shardul Thakur also did 3 hunts. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 2 wickets. Krunal Pandya got one wicket. On the other hand, Johnny Bairstow scored 94 runs in 66 balls for England. Bairstow hit 7 sixes in his innings. Jason Roy also scored 46 runs. However, apart from these two, no England batsman could sustain the wicket.

Johnny Bairstow and Jason Roy gave a stormy start to England’s team, chasing a target of 318 runs. Both these batsmen rained sixes and fours in the first 10 overs. In particular, Bairstow took on young bowler Krishna, both batsmen scoring 89 runs in 10 overs. Roy and Bairstow completed the half-century partnership in just 37 balls. After this, Johnny Bairstow completed his half-century in 40 balls, and on seeing this, Roy and Bairstow made a century partnership in 11.3 overs.

Prasidh Krishna made Team India back

Prasidh Krishna proved to be expensive in his first spell but in the second spell, this fast bowler caused havoc. In the 15th over, Krishna caught Jason Roy at the hands of Suryakumar Yadav. After this, the famous also took the wicket of Ben Stokes. He would have dismissed Oyen Morgan too, but skipper Virat Kohli dropped easy catches in the slip. After two wickets fell, Bairstow felt the pressure and his patience broke in the 23rd over. Shardul Thakur dismissed Johnny Bairstow for a personal score of 94 in the 23rd over. In the 25th over, Thakur broke the back of England by dismissing England captain Ian Morgan and then Jos Buttler. After this, Sam Billings, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, and Moin Ali could not do anything special and the England team was all out in just 42.1 overs.

Indian Batsman showed outstanding performance

India’s start was very slow on a difficult Pune pitch. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring 28 runs in 42 balls. However, after this, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan brought the best innings game to India in the match. Both added 105 runs for the second wicket. Shikhar Dhawan hit a half-century in 68 balls. At the same time, Virat Kohli hit a half-century in 50 balls. However, as soon as Virat Kohli’s wicket fell, Team India got into trouble. Virat Kohli was dismissed in the 33rd over and by 40.3 overs, Team India fell 5 wickets. Opener Shikhar Dhawan missed out on a century. Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer also failed. After this, KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya batted hard at the Death Overs and made Team India return to the match. Krunal Pandya hit a half-century in just 26 balls and KL Rahul studded the fifty in 39 balls. The two shared a 112-run partnership in 61 balls. Thanks to these two batsmen, Team India managed to score 317 runs.
