IPL 2021 suspended: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is currently suspended. Three players were found Covid-19 positive within two days, after which the decision has been taken. Today, Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has been found positive in the Covid-19 Test.
Rajiv Shukla, Vice-President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), told ANI that IPL 2021 has been suspended for the time being. Earlier on Monday, Varun Chakraborty and Sandeep Warrier of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were found positive in the Kovid-19 Test, after which the match between KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had to be postponed.
There were reports that all the remaining matches of the IPL will be held in Mumbai, but after Saha’s positive in the Kovid-19 Test, the decision has been taken to suspend the IPL for the time being. A total of 29 matches of IPL have been played so far.

Apart from these three players, the Covid-19 Test report of Bowling Coach Laxmipathy Balaji from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Camp has also come positive.
