Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2021: The central government has given very good news to those who buy cheap houses. The government has approved the construction of 56368 new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The approval was the 53rd meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has set a target of providing pucca houses to all the beneficiaries in the country by 2022. Representatives of 11 states and union territories were involved in this meeting.

Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that out of the total demand of one crore of 12 lakh houses by the year 2022, about one crore of 11 lakh houses have been approved so far. He informed that the foundation work of 73.10 lakh houses has been completed and 42.70 lakh houses have been handed over to the beneficiaries.

Let us tell you the promise of providing a pucca house by 2022. Modi government has promised to provide a pucca house to all the families of the country by the year 2022. This scheme of the government started on 25 June 2015. Under this scheme, the government has targeted to build one crore houses, but the speed in which the government is working at this time, then its target will be completed before 2022.

This meeting has also reviewed the work of Light House Projects (LHPs) and Demonstration Housing Projects (DHPs). The foundation of LHPs is laid by PM Modi on 1 January 2021. Please tell that under LHP, houses are being constructed in Lucknow, Ranchi, Rajkot, Agartala, Chennai and Indore.

Let us tell you that the government has also started an online enrollment drive for LHPs. This will also promote government’s technical awareness, participation, on-site learning, search for solutions, experimentation and innovation.
