The Full schedule of IPL 2021: The schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be announced this year has been announced. According to ANI, the start of IPL 2021 will start from 9 April, in which the match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will take place. The match will be played in Chennai while the final match will be played on 30 May at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. According to the schedule prepared by the IPL Governing Council, the matches will be held in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata.

A media advisory has been issued for the IPL by the BCCI. Accordingly, each team will play at four venues in the league stage. There will be a total of 56 matches in the league phase out of which Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru will host 10–10 while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host eight each. It said that a feature of this IPL will be that all matches will be played at neutral venues and no team will play at their home ground. All teams will play in four of the six places in the league stage. The Cricket Board of India hopes that after two years it will be successful in successfully organizing the tournament in the country. The presence of spectators in the matches during the tournament has not been decided.

BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said in a statement that after the safe and successful event of the tournament with all safety protocols in the UAE last year, the BCCI is confident of hosting the IPL with the health and safety of all players and people associated with the tournament at home. Two matches will be played in the tournament for 11 days. Day matches will start at 3:30 in the afternoon, while night matches will start at 7.30 in the evening. Shah said that the schedule of the tournament has been prepared in such a way that each team will need to visit only three times in the league stage. This will reduce traffic and reduce risk. The IPL will be held in vacant stadiums.

The IPL 2020 was held in the UAE because of the growing Coronavirus cases in India. It was successfully organized by BCCI together with UAE. This season, Mumbai Indians captured the record for the fifth time under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. The team had defeated the Delhi Capitals, captained by Shreyas Iyer, in the final match.
