WhatsApp currently offers this feature with a 7-day deadline. Which can be reduced to 24 hours soon. WhatsApp is now testing this service, messages will automatically disappear after a 24-hour time limit after the service arrives.
To avoid misinformation, WhatsApp already supports disappearing messages since a few months: check out Contact/Group Info. If you enable this feature, messages disappear after 7 days. WhatsApp is currently testing a different expiration now and this test is under development.
