Bank Holiday: Due to Corona, there is a lockdown on different days of the week in different parts of the country. But banks remain open due to needful services. If Eid is omitted in May, there is no major festival. Due to which banks will remain closed for only 12 days in May. 

Banks will remain closed for 12 days in the month of May, including weekly holidays, national holidays, as per the holidays issued by the Reserve Bank of India. 

The month of May (May 2021) is just beginning with the bank holiday. You can tackle your important work by looking at the bank holidays list. Let us know that there are many festivals including Eid, Akshaya Tritiya, and Buddha Purnima in May, Banks will have holidays in many states on this day.

Different rules for all states

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has uploaded a list of bank holidays for 2021 on its official website: rbi.org.in. According to that list, there are twelve holidays in the month of May 2021, which includes the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays of the month.

1 May – Saturday – Maharashtra Day / Mazdoor Day 
2 May – Sunday – Weekly Holiday 
7 May – Friday – Jamatul Vida  
8 May – Saturday – Weekly Holiday 
9 May – Sunday – Weekly Holiday 
13 May – Thursday – Sunday 
14 May – Friday – Parashuram Jayanti 
16 May – Sunday – Weekly Holiday  
May 22 – Saturday – Weekly Holiday
May 23 – Sunday – Weekly Holiday
May 26 – Thursday – Buddha Purnima 
May 30 – Sunday – Weekly Holiday

Even though the bank branch will be closed these days, but the customer can complete the transaction using the online mode. Mobile and Internet banking will continue to work as usual.
